Scouting Report

Pitching, Defense & Hitting
Swindell is primarily a two-pitch pitcher a hard slider as his second pitch to lefthanded hitters and a forkball-type changeup to righthanders. But he is nonetheless durable and can be valuable. He has shown the ability to get both lefties and righties out and seems better with more frequent use. He rarely walks batters, but needs good location due to average velocity. He is an average fielder at best, but does keep runners at bay with a quick delivery. He rarely bats.
