All-text Web sites were passé years ago. And even the best graphics may not be enough to give your page an edge these days. But sound is another story. A spoken "hello," a cut from your band's latest demo, or even a catchy little MIDI melody can add spice to any page.
Adding sound doesn't necessarily require a Ph.D. in HTML either. Making your site a noisemaker can be as simple as dropping a snippet of your voice on a page using a short piece of HTML code, or as complex as setting up a complete RealAudio Webcasting site--and everything in between. | |
We've collected all the info you need to start adding beeps, burps, and ballads to your pages, starting from the simplest (and least expensive) options and working our way up. Read--and listen--along, and you'll soon be ready to break your site's silence.
