   Nittany Lions kick defending champion North Carolina out of NCAA tournament
Even the recent snowfall and the coldest temperatures of the season weren't enough to cool off the white-hot Penn State men's soccer team. The Nittany Lions got a goal from Chad Severs in the second sudden-death victory period to knock off defending national champion North Carolina 1-0 in the second round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship on Wednesday at Jeffrey Field.

   Tar Heels surprise No. 2 Jayhawks
At one end of the court, North Carolina center Sean May was grabbing an offensive rebound and scoring for the Tar Heels, who continued to pummel the heavily favored Kansas Jayhawks.
