AROUND THE LEAGUE

Celtics' win streak ends with loss to Raptors
Boston was looking to extend a four-game winning streak. Toronto was looking to stop a six-game skid. Despite outrebounding Toronto (45-36), outscoring the Raptors in the lane (40-30) and getting double figures from five players, it was the Celtics' streak that came to a halt on Friday night at the FleetCenter.

NEWS AND NOTES

   Young Bulls take their lumps
The split lip took two stitches to close. Symbolically, the injury left a greater impression. As Eddy Curry lay on a trainer's table last Saturday night in Utah, his bloody lip served as a reminder that he and fellow 2001 first-round draft pick Tyson Chandler continue to take their lumps.
