Bishop Eustace didn't mind getting overlooked. The Crusaders boys' cross-country team had read and heard that Pope John XXIII was the favorite to win yesterday's Parochial B state championship. But they didn't care. The Crusaders knew they didn't have anyone who could run at the front. But they didn't worry.

Shawnee is lone S. Jersey team to win girls' cross-country title
The pain from last week was still fresh. The pain from last year was still lingering. The Shawnee girls' cross-country team found the cure for both.
