Big Win, Huge Loss
The Eagles' season may have been cast in doubt by quarterback Donovan McNabb's broken right fibula. Still, McNabb's remarkable one-legged performance against Arizona yesterday left the team in very good shape as it begins a stretch run without him.

Talk about a bad break

Fractured ankle will put McNabb on shelf

WEEK 11
Review

Patriots no match for Raiders this time
In their first meeting since last January's storied (or infamous, depending on which coast you live on) Snow Bowl game, Oakland manhandled the Patriots on Sunday night, 27-20.

THREE TEAMS TAKE BIG HITS

   Quarterbacks target for injuries
Less than three weeks ago, NFL owners spent a good part of their meetings in New York talking about player safety.

WEEK 11
Commentary

Colts win with rare defensive dominance
Ultimately, Peyton Manning drew the biggest crowd to his locker. Marvin Harrison and Edgerrin James both ducked out quickly, and Manning was left to analyze, endlessly, the Indianapolis Colts' grinding 20-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

INJURY REPORT
Lions' Hakim out for season
Detroit Lions receiver Az-Zahir Hakim will miss the rest of the season after dislocating and fracturing his left hip during the first quarter of Sunday's 31-14 loss to the New York Jets.
Denver QB knocked out in Seattle
Denver quarterback Brian Griese left Sunday's game against Seattle late in the third quarter with a sprained left knee and is not expected to return.
McNabb breaks ankle in Eagles' win
A broken right ankle didn't keep Donovan McNabb from having the best passing game of his career. But it might force him to miss the rest of the regular season.

GAME SUMMARIES

Injuries Sideline 3 NFL Quarterbacks
Tommy Maddox, Donovan McNabb and Brian Griese all suffered major injuries that could shake up NFL playoff races.

McNabb breaks ankle in Eagles' win
A broken right ankle didn't keep Donovan McNabb from having the best passing game of his career. But it might force him to miss the rest of the regular season.

Titans, 31, Steelers 23
Tommy Maddox was motionless and face-down near his own 20-yard-line. The sold-out crowd fell silent. The Pittsburgh quarterback who had gone from selling insurance to becoming the feel-good story of this NFL season wasn't moving.

NFL Today
Chicago (2-7) at St. Louis (4-5), 9 p.m. EST, ABC-TV. The Bears have lost seven straight, while the Rams are climbing back from an 0-5 start.

Brady Fumbles, Raiders Top Patriots
No need to go the replay booth this time: Tom Brady definitely fumbled, and the Oakland Raiders deserved the win.

Chargers Beat 49ers in OT, 20-17
Steve Christie, one of the NFL's best kickers in the clutch, made a 40-yard field goal with 4:11 left in overtime, lifting the San Diego Chargers to a 20-17 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Bucs 23, Panthers 10
Warren Sapp and Co. gathered on the sideline and had a heart-to-heart discussion about the Carolina Panthers.

Broncos 31, Seahawks 9
Even at 37, Steve Beuerlein still gets butterflies when he goes into a game. Yet the 16-year veteran was steady as could be when the Denver Broncos needed him Sunday.

Jets 31, Lions 14
The New York Jets are beginning to emerge from the huge hole they dug for themselves.

Dolphins Suffocate Ravens, 26-7
A fast start by Ray Lucas gave the Miami Dolphins some breathing room, and suffocating defense did the rest.

Jaguars Avenge Previous Texans Loss
The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't take expansion Houston seriously the first time, and it cost them. The Jags were prepared this time, yet they nearly blew it again.

Colts Prolong Cowboys' Losing Skid
Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts were patient Sunday. They stuck to the running game, waited for their opportunities and then seized control.

Denver QB knocked out in Seattle
Denver quarterback Brian Griese left Sunday's game against Seattle late in the third quarter with a sprained left knee and is not expected to return.

Vikings 31, Packers 21
Playing in Minnesota never seems to work out well for the Green Bay Packers.

Eagles 38, Cardinals 14
Playing with a broken right ankle that could sideline him the rest of the regular season, Donovan McNabb had the best passing game of his career.
