Mills, Larry Johnson lead Nittany Lions past Virginia
Zack Mills threw two touchdown passes as No. 19 Penn State beat Virginia 35-14 today. Mills completed 19 of 30 passes for 227 yards, his first 200-yard game since throwing for 264 yards in a 27-24 overtime loss at Michigan on Oct. 12. Larry Johnson had 31 carries for 188 yards and one touchdown.

I-99 section in Centre County will open Nov. 25 The completed section of Interstate 99 in Centre County will open to cars and trucks at noon on Nov. 25, the Monday before Thanksgiving, the state Department of Transportation said Friday.

Dumped infant will have autopsy McELHATTAN, Clinton County -- An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday on a newborn baby boy found dead this week in a Clinton County landfill. The full-term Caucasian infant had severe damage to his skull and body, apparently from crushing during transport to the Clinton County Solid Waste Authority's landfill in McElhattan. The body was discovered Tuesday in a pile dumped earlier that day.

Texas A&M; stuns No. 1 Oklahoma, 30-26
Oklahoma couldn't escape Texas A&M; this time, and it could cost the Sooners a shot at the national title. Today's 30-26 loss certainly will drop the Sooners (8-1, 4-1 Big 12) from the No. 1 position in both the Associated Press poll and the Bowl Championship Series standings.

C-COR expects layoffs
C-COR.net Corp. will lay off as much as 22 percent of its work force as it expects lower sales and a bigger second-quarter loss than it predicted last month, the company said Friday.

Sheetz testing cash pay-at-pump system
No fuss, no frills, no friendly clerks -- gas-and-go could become a little easier at Sheetz gas stations for people who prefer cash. At a gasoline station in Johnstown, Sheetz is testing a system, from Denver-based Gary-Williams Retail Solutions, that allows customers to pay for gas with cash and get change without stepping foot in a store.
