FDA OKs nonsurgical sterilization device
A device that works something like an IUD but sterilizes a woman won approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday. The FDA said it had approved Conceptus Inc.'s Essure, which uses a tiny group of coils to sterilize a woman without surgery.
