The Eagles really don't want to lose this game. They don't want to have the same record as the Giants, unable to do better than a split of the season series. The Birds have been prematurely awarded the NFC East so many times now by pundits, it is hard to recall that they are just 4-2. A loss tonight makes hosting playoff games - a crucial part of getting to the Super Bowl - start to look like an uphill fight.
Donovan McNabb, who hasn't had a really great game since signing his big contract extension, usually plays well under the bright lights. If the Eagles' offense can put 20 points on the board, that ought to beat a Giants team that seems to shoot itself in the foot a lot.
The Eagles have looked a little vulnerable to teams that pass underneath a lot, but Kerry Collins will have to have great protection and McNabb will have to repeatedly misfire for the Giants to win.
Prediction: Eagles, 22-13.
