Ken Daneyko Breaks Scoreless Streak

New Jersey Devils defenseman Ken Daneyko scored Friday night, ending his NHL-record streak without a goal at 255 games.

His opening goal in the game against Buffalo came on a slap shot while Buffalo was being assessed a delayed penalty. Daneyko's last goal came Feb. 9, 1999, against Vancouver.

The previous record holder was Rich Pilon, who went 245 games without a goal.
