COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. AP) - Jason Richardson scored 24 points and Antawn Jamison added 17 as the Golden State Warriors routed the Denver Nuggets 108-80 Thursday night in the final preseason game for both teams.
Richardson was 9-of-14 shooting and didn't play in the fourth quarter. Troy Murphy had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Erick Dampier added 15 as Golden State (3 (4)- ended a two-game losing streak.
Kenny Satterfield led Denver 1 (7)- with 17 points and six assists. The Nuggets shot 30 percent and lost their seventh straight.
The Nuggets shot just 4-of-24 in the first quarter, while Golden State shot 62 percent during the period. Jamison and Richardson combined for 25 points, and Golden State took a 34-12 lead.
The Warriors built their biggest lead of the first half at 54-25 on two free throws by Richardson with 2:19 left. Satterfield led a 12-2 run for Denver to get the Nuggets to 55-37 at halftime.
Four points by Mark Blount got the Nuggets to 57-41 at the start of the third, but Golden State went on a 12-0 run, aided by Richardson's 3-pointer and a reverse layup.
Murphy scored the last four points of the quarter and Golden State took an 80-54 edge into the fourth.
