Philly.com is a great place to keep up with Philadelphia and the region. At the same time, we’re not perfect, and we’ve heard your complaints. The primary two have been:
The newspapers are hard to find.
The latest news appears in many different places and it’s difficult to know where to look for it.
In an effort to resolve these issues, we are making the following changes:
First and foremost is a renewed emphasis on our newspaper partners, the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.
On the Philly.com home page, you’ll find a large section highlighting the day's newspaper content. When you click within this section, you will find the morning papers. These newspaper sites won’t be updated throughout the day.
If you are looking for the latest local and national news, go to the Philly.com home page (this breaking news also is available on Philly.com's News channel. Sports updates can be found on Philly.com's Sports channel.
In addition, we’ll continue to turn out a Philly.com Entertainment channel that includes significantly more information than the newspapers, including collected restaurant and movie reviews, as well as concert and event listings. Check it out!
We’re hopeful that these changes will make it easier to find what you want, when you want. Let us know what you think of the changes and how we can improve the site further.
Sincerely,
Kevin Donahue
