Schalick relishing role as underdog
When Schalick meets Shawnee, the defending champion, in the South Jersey Coaches Tournament boys' soccer final at Rutgers-Camden at 7 p.m. Saturday, most will perceive it as David against Goliath.

Most ranked teams taking a beating
Last week was among the most shocking in recent South Jersey girls' soccer history, with upset wins becoming a common occurrence. Thanks mainly to the South Jersey Coaches Tournament, the events of last week demonstrated that parity exists in South Jersey and the difference between being No. 1 and No. 10 can be minimal. It also showed that being a nuclear physicist might be easier than ranking South Jersey's girls' soccer teams.
