   About Jane Eisner

Jane Eisner began writing her column in 2000, after serving as a reporter, City Hall bureau chief, foreign correspondent and in many editing positions for two decades at The Inquirer. During her tenure as Editorial Page Editor from 1994 to 1999, the editorial board initiated such features as Young Voices, Community Voices and the award-winning Citizen Voices projects.

Her column, American Rhythms, appears on the Commentary Page on Thursdays and in the Sunday Review section, and is syndicated nationally. She also is a frequent public speaker. Contact her at 215 854 4530 or jeisner@phillynews.com.
