HOBART HANDLER 135

A ceiling medallion is an old-fashioned way to spruce up an otherwise ho-hum ceiling. This product, molded from lightweight urethane plastic, is attached around the base of an existing ceiling fan or a hanging light fixture. Apply urethane adhesive to the ceiling, and stick the first half in place. Apply adhesive to the joint between the two halves, and to the other side of the ceiling (where the second half is mounted). Apply the second half of the medallion, then carefully nail the medallion to the ceiling.

The product comes either ready to accept paint or with a metal finish. Depending on size, style and finish, the medallion costs from $35 to $85 at home centers.
