Phantoms have winless weekend

Ryan Kraft recorded a hat trick and teammate Niko Dimitrakos added a goal and two assists to lead the Cleveland Barons past the Phantoms, 6-3, yesterday at the First Union Spectrum.

Kirby Law scored a pair of goals for the Phantoms.

Philadelphia, which tied the host Hartford Wolfpack, 5-5, Saturday, is 0-3-1 since opening the season 2-0.

Defenseman David Harlock added two assists and goaltender Antero Niittymaki finished with 26 saves as the Phantoms fell to 0-2-1 all-time vs. the Barons.

"Tonight we skated and worked, but didn't work smart," said Phantoms head coach John Stevens. "We are finding ways to lose hockey games. We're frustrated now. It's kind of a reflection of how the game was. Every time we climbed back in, we got hammered."

On Saturday, Mark Greig, Patrick Sharp, Mike Siklenka and Brad Tiley each recorded a goal and an assist for the Phantoms.

Philadelphia's next game is Wednesday against the host Syracuse Crunch.
