Located one block from Independence Hall, the Omni Hotel overlooks the picturesque lawns, monuments and historic buildings of Independence National Historic Park. Nearby, visitors can enjoy many of Philadelphia's most popular restaurants and nightspots, browse Old City's art galleries and shops or take in an art film in the cool comfort of one of the neighborhood's three Ritz Theatres.

The four-story Sheraton Society Hill, nestled along cobblestone Dock Street in the shadows of I.M. Pei's monumental Society Hill Towers, captures the quiet charm of a colonial inn through its proportions and decor. On display in the hotel are artifacts unearthed from the site during an archaeological dig that preceded the hotel's construction.

The Hyatt Regency, situated on the Delaware River overlooking Camden, New Jersey, offers convenient access to the Penn's Landing Festival Pier, the site of many cultural festivals throughout the summer months, as well as other attractions in historic Old City and along the waterfront.

The most stylish of the convention center hotels, the Loews Philadelphia, which opened in the spring of 2000, inhabits the renovated and restored Philadelphia Saving Fund Society (PSFS) building, a masterpiece of modern architecture. Designed by architects George Howe and William Lescaze and completed in 1932, the building was the first International Style high-rise in the world.

The Clarion Suites, in the heart of Chinatown (about one block away from the Convention Center and Reading Terminal Market), puts visitors just steps from the city's best spots for sampling Asian cuisines.

On the west side of the Convention Center, the meticulously restored, historic City Hall Annex, built in 1926, has housed the Courtyard Hotel since 1999. Its central location is unbeatable, offering easy walking access to the Avenue of the Arts, Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Rittenhouse Row.

Unveiled in the spring of 2000 following an $88 million renovation, the Ritz-Carlton comprises a stunning rotunda, modeled on the Pantheon in Rome, and an adjoining high-rise tower, which houses the guestrooms. Once home to the Girard Trust Company, the neoclassical buildings were designed by the acclaimed architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White, and built in the early 1900s.
