NEW YORK - SAN JOSE - August 7,
2001 - Factiva(tm), a Dow Jones & Reuters Company, and Knight Ridder
Digital (NYSE: KRI), a leader in interactive information and subsidiary
of Knight Ridder, announced today an agreement allowing Factiva to include
online content from twenty-nine Knight Ridder newspapers as part of its
global news and business information offering.
Through Knight Ridder Digital full-text, daily publications from top
media markets around the country - including San Jose/Silicon Valley,
Miami, Philadelphia, Detroit, Fort Worth, TX and Kansas City, MO -- as
well as from state capitals and other important regional centers, will
now be available on the day of publication to Factiva customers through
Dow Jones Interactive and all other Factiva products.
These additional publications join an existing content set of nearly
8,000 sources including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Le
Monde, Financial Times and the South China Morning Post.
