DALLAS - June 22, 1999 - | The Fort Worth Star-Telegram and The Dallas Morning News are combining resources to create the most comprehensive online regional resource for the entire Dallas-Fort Worth area, the companies announced today. Online consumers in the region can now access http://www.dfw.com for a comprehensive regional directory as well as local and national news, sports, classifieds and online services from the area's two leading media organizations.

The combined services of the two premier organizations provide online visitors with access to both newspapers' extensive classified advertising sections, including employment, real estate and automotive. Users will get the best news headlines and full stories, as well as searchable yellow page directories with maps and directions and online shopping. The site also has the combined entertainment online services of JustGo.com and GuideLive.com, products of www.star-telegram.com and www.dallasnews.com

Dfw.com will include links to more than 6,000 local Web sites and has the largest database of classified ads in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The site will be well-positioned as the one-stop-shop resource for the area.

Online users also can register for complimentary email addresses through dfw.com. Available on the site is a series of reference pages for 14 local communities within the Metroplex. These pages provide a brief history of each community, an area map, directions and municipal information.
