Blues goalie Sanford sidelined
St. Louis rookie goaltender Curtis Sanford will be out two-to-three weeks with a strained Achilles' tendon in his left foot, forcing the Blues to go with their fifth goalie in just six games.
Mighty Ducks' Oates to have surgery
Adam Oates, who broke his left hand during the Anaheim Mighty Ducks' 2-2 tie in Vancouver, will undergo surgery to speed up the healing process, team spokesman Alex Gilchrist said.
Rangers' Dvorak injures left knee
Rangers forward Radek Dvorak injured his left knee Friday night when he caught his skate in the ice and was helped to the locker room.
