So Wound
[Sub Pop]
Rating: 7.3

Here's that freaky, straight-on, melodic girlpop thing again. And not everybody knows this, but I'm gonna let you in on a secret. Jale were one of the originals. They helped create that girlpop sound a few years back. But what does music trivia get you nowadays, anyway?

Anyway, they've returned (as one might suspect they would) with a dreamy rock record that's sure to infest your favorite modern rock airwaves this summer. And with uppers like the opening track, "Ali" and the head-bobbing "Blue," what's not to like?

The CD comes in a Groovy- Days- of- Yesteryear type package, which is designed like those old... oh what were those things in the 60's... LPs? A gatefold sleeve, embossed lettering, and even an inner jacket to protect your CD from scratches and dust particles. Just like the old days. Except poppier.
