PHOENIX (AP) - Mike Tyson won't face charges on an allegation that he assaulted a dancer and her boyfriend at a strip club.
The case was closed because of insufficient evidence, police spokeswoman Lauri Williams said Thursday.
Tyson had denied the allegations.
The dancer told police in April that she had offered to dance for Tyson, but he refused, although he offered a $10 tip.
The dancer claimed that later that night the boxer grabbed her and called her names. She told police she was spun around by the former heavyweight champ and then head-butted near her left eye.
The dancer's boyfriend claimed he approached Tyson and told him to step away from her. He said Tyson then punched him in the chin.
The police report said no visible injuries could be seen on either the dancer or her boyfriend when officers arrived at the Hi-Liter Gentleman's Club.
Tyson was convicted of raping a beauty pageant contestant in Indiana in 1992 and was in prison for three years of a 10-year sentence.
