Charting Penn State recruits in action

Penn State recruits this week:

Jason Evans

RB/DB, Harrison High School, Kennesaw, Ga., 6-1, 185. Evans scored on a 48-yard run in the first quarter as Harrison cruised to a 40-0 win over South Cobb to improve to 5-0. Evans finished with 118 yards on 10 carries.

Paul Posluszny

RB/LB, Hopewell High School, Aliquippa, 6-3, 215. Posluszny left with an ankle injury early in the first quarter and did not return in Hopewell's 6-0 win over Blackhawk. It was the Vikings' third straight shutout. "He just kind of reaggravated something from the week before, but he'll be okay," Hopewell coach Dave Vestal told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Austin Scott

RB, Parkland High School, Orefield, 6-1, 200. In leading Parkland to a 56-14 win over Whitehall, Scott ran for 349 yards and six touchdowns, giving him two straight 300-yard games and three for the season. Scott scored on runs of 46, 75, 49, 23, 69 and 10 yards as Parkland improved to 5-1.

John Shaw

DL, Spring Grove, 6-5, 278. Shaw was the key to Spring Grove's line play as the Rockets rebounded from their first loss with a 29-10 victory over South Western.
