Woman dies after being hit by car
A State College woman died Sunday morning after being hit by a car. Ingeborg Moser, 81, died after a car driven by her husband, Gerald Moser, struck her, police said.

Spring Mills resident killed in accident on Route 144
A Spring Mills woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash on state Route 144. Vivian G. Johnson, 84, pulled her 1989 Dodge out of the Homan's General Store parking lot and in front of a 1993 Toyota Camry driven by Joanne R. Williams, 51, of Belleville, according to state police.

Pittsburgh takes steps to build biomedical tower
The Associated Press PITTSBURGH -- The University of Pittsburgh will build a 10-story, $188 million biomedical science tower to house the school's growing number of research groups, school officials said.Pitt's medical school research funding from the National Institutes of Health has increased 77 percent from 1997. The tower, which would be built on Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood, could accommodate the growth, the school said.
