photoEmmy-Award winning actor SHEMAR MOORE easily moves between feature film and television. This past year, SHEMAR starred in the Sony/Screen Gems film The Brothers with Morris Chestnut, DL Hughley and Bill Bellamy, and starred in a national stage tour of "Fabric Of A Man." He also starred in Fox telefilm How to Marry A Billionaire, John Stamos, Dabney Coleman & Rhea Perlman. SHEMAR played the lead in Jersey Televisions' Celebrity, which was produced by Danny DeVito.

SHEMAR was introduced to the silver screen in the HBO film Never 2 Big (Butter) co-starring Nia Long. He has also starred in the independent film Box Marley and made a cameo appearance in the Miramax film Hav Plenty.

No stranger to television audiences, SHEMAR has guest starred on the HBO original series Arli$$, as well as Chicago Hope, Moesha and For Your Love. He also appeared in the critically acclaimed CBS mini-series Mama Flora's Family, starring Cicely Tyson, Queen Latifah and Blair Underwood. He currently is the host of the long running syndicated show Soul Train.

SHEMAR first appeared to the television viewer in his portrayal of "Malcolm Winters" in the #1 rated daytime drama, The Young & The Restless. For this role, he received two Emmy nominations and four NAACP Image Awards and this year he received his first Emmy Award for "Best Supporting Actor".

SHEMAR attended Santa Clara University in California, where on a baseball scholarship he majored in Theatre Arts and Communications. His physique and natural charm lured him to the fashion industry of New York, where he had a successful career as a fashion and print model.

SHEMAR is originally from Oakland, CA and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. He is proficient in all sports, excelling in Boxing and Baseball and is very active with social causes in his community, lending support to many HIV/AIDS and Children's charities.
