Why is a password required to access the IPS daily news service?
Because the IPS DAILY news service is available only by subscription. Weekly and bi-monthly bulletins, however, are free.

What is the subscription rate for media and non-media concerns?
Rates vary according to regions and countries. Please contact your nearest IPS regional office.

May I reproduce IPS news reports?
No, sorry. IPS stories are protected by copyright laws. Reproduction rights require a specific agreement.

May I cross-post IPS stories retrieved from the Bulletin Board or the Web?
Only with written permission, to be obtained at the respective regional center.

Many NGOs and newspapers would like to use and distribute the IPS news service, but cannot afford commercial rates. If IPS is a non-profit organization, why does it charge for its products?
IPS is an independent international association of journalists and, while it is not a commercial enterprise intent on profit, we cannot afford to run at a loss. Limited sources of funding are unable to sustain the worldwide IPS journalistic product and like other development-oriented agencies, we have suffered from the dramatic drop in international development assistance. IPS, however, subsidizes most of its customers in the South and has a flexible approach to subscription rates.
