The Toro cheerleading squad from Rancho Carne High School in San Diego has got spirit, spunk, sass and a killer routine that's sure to land them the national championship trophy for the sixth year in a row. But for newly elected team captain Torrance Shipman, the Toro's road to total cheer glory takes a shady turn when she discovers that their perfectly choreographed routines were, in fact, stolen from the Clovers, a hip-hop squad from East Compton, by the Toro's former captain. With time running out and the pressure mounting, both captains drive their squads to the point of exhaustion: Torrance, hell-bent on saving the Toro's reputation, and Isis, more determined than ever to see that the Clovers finally get the recognition that they deserve. But only one team can bring the title home, so may the best moves win! Bring It On was the surprise hit of this past summer,
in a season that had more than its fair share of bad
movies! Bring It On is a must see, and if you're a DVD fan
or collector, an absolute essential disc to own if,
for no other reason than that it includes some of the
best supplemental material around. Released by Universal
Home Video on February 13, 2000, the disc is loaded
with extras. Aside from a great transfer and Dolby Digital
and DTS 5.1 soundtracks, the disc includes an audio
commentary, making-of, deleted scenes and rare footage.
Not to be missed. Bring It On marks the feature film debut of Peyton
Reed, and DVDFILE was fortunate enough to have to have
the opportunity chat with him recently about the success
of film, DVD and the future. Peyton is a huge fan of
the format, and his passion for film and filmmaking
shines bright. We think he will be one to watch. Thanks,
Peyton! |
