You don't know how excited I was when I opened up my box of CDs that came in the mail and one of them was the Urban Legends motion picture soundtrack!! Y'see, I like to go to the movies, and sometimes I'll rent them, too. I think that last year, my favorite movie of all time was Urban Legends! I thought about getting the soundtrack after I saw it the third time. I didn't get it, though. It was going to be such a cool mix of songs by all of my favorite bands from the radio. And the movie was really awesome from the way it talked about things that we only thought were urban legends. But urban legends come true! And now I hope that my dream about being a star in Urban Legends II may come true, too!

So I ran upstairs to my room and put the disc into my stereo. Boy! Was I stoked to hear all the Urban Legends songs. That red haired girl in the movie was pretty awesome. Is she on "That '70s Show?" Or was she on that "Cybil" show? Those were great shows! I turned the volume way up on my disc player so that it would sound like the way the sound is in the movie theater. Then I also took off all of my clothes.

Hey! This wasn't the music in movie! I looked at the disc packaging. Hmm. Sure enough, it didn't say anything about being connected to the movie. Just stuff about this guy Hutch Harris and the band. Oh. I think that the band's name is Urban Legends. Hutch Harris must have liked it as much as I did. Wow, I think he's the only one in the band.

The music sounded like my friend's band from when we were seniors in high school, Tether Ball. Man, that band was pretty fun back then. But once I got to college and heard all the other bands on the radio station, then I didn't think that Tether Ball was that great. Pretty straightforward without a lot of development. Every song seems to move like it's walking at the same pace as all the others. Just start counting off... 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. It makes me want to pick up a baton and move it up and down... dah dah dah dah, dah dah dah dah. His guitar riffing sounds like he's listened to a lot of Built to Spill. He doesn't seem to be adding much new to it. There just isn't a lot of emotion in the music. It is emotionless. Kind of boring.

"Honeyyyy!"

Oh. It was my wife. "What???"

"Get down here! The kids and I are waiting for you. The pot roast's getting cold!"

"Okay, okay! Down in a minute!" I put my clothes back on and grabbed my pot roast bib from the hook behind the door on my way out.
