Cover Art Gusgus
Polydistortion
[4AD]
Rating: 8.3

There's an undeniable spookiness about those people next door. You don't know them -- and you don't want to. They've lived in the same creaky, old house ever since you can remember. No one moves in or out; they just... multiply. Once, you had a nightmare that you were one of them. It sounded like this.

Hailing from Iceland (no pun intended), Gusgus has a line-up that, at this point, houses the talents of nine incredible musicians. Like a bizarre hybrid of early Prince and Daft Punk, Gusgus are obviously not your typical Bjorkers. Blending styles and creating sounds you never imagined were possible, Polydistortion attracts and hypnotizes without overkill.
