Cover Art The Grifters
Full Blown Possession
[Sub Pop]
Rating: 8.4

Hey, the Grifters. Who remembers these guys? Good. You should remember 'em. Their last record, Ain't My Lookout was at least in Sub Pop's Top Five best records released just two years ago. And before that, we were listening to the very excellent, Crappin' You Negative. So my question is, how the hell can you go wrong with a band like this? Of course, you can't.

And here's good news: these guys haven't changed a bit. Full Blown Possession is filled with the same steady rockpower that's fueled their last couple of records. And you'll be bobbing your head to the sounds of "Re-Entry Blues," a (you guessed it) blues tune about the trials and tribulations of touring, and "Spaced Out," a slow-paced rock anthem. In fact, you might even be waving your indie rock zippo.

Full Blown Possession has made a fine addition to my CD collection and it's gonna look good in yours, too. I guaran-damn-tee it.
