Cover Art Grant Lee Buffalo
Copperopolis
[Reprise]
Rating: 7.5

Of the three Grant Lee Buffalo albums so far, this is easily their best. Their debut, Fuzzy, impressed me, but had its slow points and Mighty Joe Moon was almost painfully dragging, but they've really seemed to improve on that.

The disc starts off with your standard folk-rock number, "Homespun," but is unexpectedly catchy. It follows nicely into "The Bridge" and rolls onto the incredibly poetic "Arousing Thunder." The songs seem to flow smoothly, catch your ear, and keep you entertained all at once.

You know, I never thought I might say this about a Grant Lee Buffalo record, but... gosh, it's pretty damn good.
