If you don't like inaccessible prog rock a la Allan Holdsworth, don't even think about picking this disc up. You have been warned.

Now, on with the review for the rest for you hangers on. Brand X features Phil Collins on the drums.

Well, that scared away a few more of you. Anyhow, the music of Brand X is not suitable for lovemaking, passing time at work, or singing.

Okay, for the few of you left, hi. You're a rare breed. Brand X is not a very pretty band. One of the guys looks like he plays a lot of Dungeons and Dragons, another guy looks like John Oates after some roofies, and there's Phil Collins.

Whoops, that left a big hole in the auditorium. Honestly, you two, I don't think this is a bad album, but what's bad is bad to the nth degree. They try too hard at times, but there are some cool moments when they click. You guys might like it.
