Cover Art Babe the Blue Ox
People
[RCA]
Rating: 8.6

It took some time, but Babe the Blue Ox won me over on the fourth listen of their latest release, People. What did it? Was it the power-funk/wah-wah thang they do on "Family Picnic"? Was it Rosealee Thomson's dead-on Juliana Hatfield impression on "Resume?" The future junior high school slow dance classic, "I'm Wrong?" The cool rhythmic vibes of "Can't Stand Up" or "Rube Goldberg?"

Beats the hell out of me, but I'm willing to wager that it was simply Babe's intention and success of making an excellent CD.
