Sash!
It's My Life
[FFRR]
Rating: 3.5
Sash's It's My Life listens like those tapes of techno that were going
around five years ago with names like Techno Nation, Techno Fire,
Rave Till Yer Pants Shrink, Give Mama A Pacifier, Pass The
Mentholyptus and Bass Booty. The large majority of the disc is
extremely generic dance techno. Generic techno? How could that be? I asked
myself that same question. You know the sound: an easy to follow bass loop, a
nubian princess on vocals (even if "vocals" only means "oooh yeah..."), some
beats or drum to fill out the middle and high register. Repeat. Repeat. Yeah,
that's it. I guarantee you've heard this a hundred times before and there is
absolutely nothing spectacular about this incarnation. I insist you not spend
your money so foolishly.
