Rating: 6.5

Look at that cover! Man, sometimes the cover just don't lie. Games is a series of science fiction workouts via good old fashioned analog equipment. Much like the album Cords, it succeeds in that future sound circa 1970- something without sounding like anything modern. Of course, thanks to this stuff being back in style, the serpent is indeed eating the tail.

Games has high novelty volume. You don't find so many albums anymore with self- indulgent titles like "Delta 5" and "Delta 4." Hell, all of the songs have a "Delta" in the title. This album may well be the cue from which Queen started off with the "Flash Gordon" soundtrack (one of the greatest albums of all time-- and yes, I'm serious). Can it be taken seriously? Not especially, but it's a good look back at the days when R2D2 was a fucking god. Remember those days? Sure you do. Games is your album, and may the force be.... um, line please!
