Nirvana's burly bass player Krist Novoselic bounces back into action here after a few years of inactivity, paired up with "street singer" Yva Las Vegas. While I did enjoy the lion's share of Nirvana's output, the Foo Fighters leave me cold (if you have ever heard a Husker Du record, the Fighters are old hat) and this effort really doesn't do anything for me. The vocals on this release drive me bats, and while the music is full of Krist's old band's signature sound, I can't really recommend this for anyone but the most ardent Nirvana fan... you know, someone like the guy/gal who paid $200 for the "Love Buzz"/ "Big Cheese" single. Some interesting guest stars (Peter Buck and "Big A&M; Herb" Alpert), though.
