Cover Art Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Now I Got Worry
[Matador]
Rating: 8.9

Jon Spencer, as you probably all know by now, takes classic Elvis- style rock 'n roll and turns it on its pompadour. As usual with the Blues Explosion, the brain doesn't quite want to accept what's happening through the first listen of the disc, but your body loves it. Through the art of continued listening, the element of funk seems to increase, that rockabilly soul thing takes you over, something really fucking weird happens, and your mind lets your body "make a commotion," as it were. In short, you become an unstoppable groove machine. By this, my eighth listen, I'm hallucinating. Goddamn!
