Logical Progression Level 2
[Good Looking/FFRR]
Rating: 8.0

If you're like I am, you dig a good drum-n-bass compilation from time to time, or perhaps, every day. But few stand out from the hundreds of thousands like those of Good Looking/ Looking Good Records' Logical Progression albums.

Good Looking has, since the early 1990s, been at the forefront of drum-n-bass and jungle music, and has been essential in molding the genres into their current forms; Logical Progression Level 2 is out to wipe any remaining doubt of that off the face of the Earth. This two- disc set is a ferocious collection of dancable tracks from the likes of Source Direct, Odyssey, and label- head LTJ Bukem.

The first disc is a intense blast of high- energy numbers mixed up by one of Good Looking's most critically- acclaimed artists, Blame, and vocal tracks are laid down by MCs Conrad and DRS. Disc Two is unmixed numbers like PFM's acidic "Love and Happiness" and Intense's "Dark Skies," a digital hurricane of rapid breakbeats and psychic transmissions.

Granted, this is only a taste of what this label is capable of. If you're not convinced by this stuff, check out the original Logical Progression compilation, which also featured numbers by Peshay and Photek.
