Cover Art Iggy Pop
Nude and Rude:
The Best of...
[Legacy/Columbia]
Rating: 7.2

Shriveled and constantly naked, Iggy Pop has never been very appealing, appearance- wise. However, this is a collection of 17 of his best songs (not 17 of his best photos) and I'll be damned if the guy didn't have the balls to rock. This guy rocked out like the fucking Grand Canyon. I mean, when he called his seminal record Raw Power, that was no bullshit.

If you're just getting into the mid- to- late '70s Detroit music scene and you need a place to begin with Iggy, Raw Power is what you need, and that's that. But maybe you just like a lot of Iggy's stuff and want it all in one place. You'd have to go for Nude and Rude. Just remember that when you pick up a "best of," you get the good with the bad. I think you get it.
