BT Ignite boss announces departure |
The chief executive of BT Ignite is quitting.
Alfred Mockett will leave at the end of November and return to his native America to become chief executive and chairman of a US company.
He will be replaced by Andy Green, currently chief executive of the telecom group's internet arm, BTopenworld.
Mr Mockett joined BT ten years ago, becoming managing director of its business division in 1992.
He then went on to work for its international operations until taking up his current role last year.
BT chief executive Sir Peter Bonfield says: "Alfred has served BT well over ten years in a range of senior executive positions. We wish him well in all his new endeavours."
BT says Mr Green's successor would be announced "in due course".
