People worried about flying to US entitled to refunds |
People who do not want to fly to Washington, Boston or New York in the next week will be eligible for a refund.
People who have already booked flights to the US cities but feel too frightened to fly will be entitled to a full refund or can reschedule their flight.
Airlines and tour operators have agreed to this in the wake of the disaster in America.
Sean Tipton, of the Association of British Travel Agents told the Evening Post: "In a situation like this there won't be any compensation but for people travelling to Washington, Boston and New York, the airlines have taken an across-the-board decision that if people do not wish to go in the next seven days, they won't have to.
"The situation will be reviewed on a regular basis."
Travellers flying elsewhere in the US can also qualify for full refunds or a reschedule if they are travelling today or tomorrow.
