Kim Milton Nielsen, the referee for Manchester United's postponed Champions League match against Olympiakos, admitted "football is nothing" following the terrorist attacks in the United States. Uefa have called off this week's European fixtures because of the tragedy. Nielsen said it is hard to play football when so many people have been killed in America. "It's very difficult to say if it is the right decision," said the Dane. "You can have an opinion both ways. Of course, it's very bad that terrorists have shown how they can stop football in the whole of Europe. "But then a lot of people have died - so football is nothing. "Football is small where more than 10,000 people have been killed. "I've seen the coverage in the international press and I've spoken to people back in Denmark. "I spoke to my work this morning and they told me that yesterday no one could work and they just sat watching TV trying to take it all in." United's game, along with all the other postponed Champions League matches, has been provisionally re-arranged for Wednesday, October 10.
