Kelsey Grammer is to support five families who lost their breadwinners in the terrorist attacks on New York. The actor's friend and Frasier creator David Angell was aboard one of the hijacked jets. Grammer has set up a fund to help pay mortgages, school fees and other household expenses. He enlisted the help of the American Red Cross to help set up the aid, imdb.com reports. In June, Grammer became the highest-paid TV star ever, after signing a two-series deal for Frasier that nets him more than £1 million an episode. Story filed: 10:49 Friday 28th September 2001
