'Armed robber' uses can of ravioli |
A man tried to rob a shop in the US - by intimidating the checkout girl with a can of ravioli.
According to police, Thomas Rokosky flashed his weapon to the petrified shop girl, who, became so frightened she couldn't open the cash register.
He later tried to rob a chemists shop, but was arrested. He has been charged with two attempted robberies.
Rokosky allegedly walked into the corner store, in Harrison Township, Pennsylvania, and showed the clerk he had something wrapped in his shirt.
He demanded money, but walked out empty handed when the shop girl panicked, said township police Chief Mike Klein.
"The only thing visible was a can of ravioli," Mr Klein said.
"The clerk was too scared and couldn't open the register."
Rokosky wasn't arrested until he later tried to rob the chemists shop.
He allegedly demanded money from the cashier, but ran away when the cashier called for help.
