Jade Jagger heads up Garrard's creative team |
Garrard, the Queen's jeweller, has made Jade Jagger its new creative director.
Fashion designer Hussein Chalayan is to take up the reins of Asprey's creative team, it is announced today.
The appointment of Ms Jagger, 29, follows six months of runaway sales of the jewellery she created for the royal warrant-holder.
Garrard aims to launch its new range when it moves to a new flagship store in Albemarle Street next summer.
The new store will be designed by English architect Tom Bartlett.
Ms Jagger said: "Garrard is a brand with a wonderful heritage: it is the home of the Crown Jeweller, it works with the world's most beautiful and precious stones and it is renowned for the quality of its silverware.
"I am delighted to be helping to create a new era of jewellery design and retailing; respecting Garrard's wonderful heritage, maintaining its quality whilst introducing a new design style and flair, combining the classic and the avant-garde."
