Get involved in Ananova's news coverage

The Ananova news service has been invented for the world of interactive mobile communications.

That means we don't just want you to sit there and read the news - we want you to get involved.

We want you to tell us what you think about the issues of the day; we want you to help us shape the service you want by telling us which stories or topics are important to you. And - most importantly - we want you to join the ranks of Ananova's reporters.

E-mail us at newsdesk@ananova.com if you've got a story you think other people will want to know about. Better still, if you've got a mobile phone, send us a text message on 07974 334705 whenever you find yourself at the scene of a breaking news story. And if you've got your camera with you, email your pictures to picturedesk@ananova.com.

We're not just talking about the big stories all the other news organisations will cover. If you're stuck on a train that's gone nowhere for the last five hours tell us about it. That's the kind of news that will make a difference to people planning to travel on the same line.

Mobile communications and the Internet are changing every aspect of our lives - and Ananova is here to reflect that.

The fuel crisis in the UK was a perfect example of this. While the protesters themselves were organising pickets using mobile phones, people were contacting us from all over the UK to say what the situation was like where they were.

We were able to pass on that information to other people - everything from which petrol stations were open to which routes were affected by convoys of protesters.

So, if you've got information that could be useful to someone else, tell Ananova.
