A disabled person is one who has a disability that interferes with his or her abiltiy to perform one or more activities of everyday living. For example, locomotion, speech, getting dressed, going outside, communicating with others.
Note:This definition is based on the one given in the Americans with Disabilities Act, a law in the USA, enacted in July 1990.
