Select October 98 PJ Harvey A Perfect Day Elise This return after three years away should be so much more exciting that it is. With its off-the-peg Flood-produced post-industrial samplescapes and a chorus in close proximity to Portisheads Roads, A Perfect Day Elise would certainly slot onto any vaguely alternative radio programme, but PJ is used to being about not fitting easily onto anything. The B-sides are all afflicted Southern death drawl wrangles, so clearly all hasnt been lost in the interim. |
