The most notable extra here is 25 minutes’ worth of scenes from the make-believe soap opera with which the characters in this addiction-recovery drama are obsessed. They’re amusing at first, but the novelty quickly wears off. Meanwhile, in her commentary, director Betty Thomas seems far too concerned with how much editing will need to be done on the PG-13–rated film for TV broadcasts. Who really cares?
