Metavante Teams with eCash Technologies to Provide Electronic Payments for Financial Institutions
Seattle, October 23, 2000 – Metavante Corporation, a subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation
(NYSE: MI), and eCash Technologies, Inc. are working together to bring electronic payment solutions to
financial institutions, allowing these organizations to extend their reach on the Internet and enhance
their existing payment products.
The Monneta suite of electronic payment products offered by eCash Technologies is secure, reliable,
private and easy to use. As part of the arrangement between the two companies, Metavante will provide
transaction-processing services for the Monneta Debit product through its Electronic Funds Delivery (EFD)
unit. As a result, customers of Metavante’s EFD clients will be able to initiate payments from their
checking accounts via the Internet for online merchants who are members of the eCash network.
Metavante is a leading provider of integrated solutions that enable financial service providers to
initiate and process a broad range of financial transactions electronically, including through the
